Southeast Community Center

Project Vision

San Francisco, CA

The Southeast Community Center was developed to create a vibrant, sustainable community hub that promotes health, well-being, education, workforce development, and economic opportunity for residents of Bayview-Hunters Point and surrounding neighborhoods. Designed through years of community engagement, the center provides affordable childcare, community gathering spaces, nonprofit workspaces, educational facilities, and recreational amenities that support residents of all ages. Through its combination of public art, open space, cultural programming, and workforce development opportunities, the project fulfills a long-standing commitment to invest in and strengthen one of San Francisco’s most historically underserved communities while creating a welcoming place for residents to gather, learn, and connect.

JBR Partners, Inc. supported workforce development and community workforce participation efforts for the Southeast Community Center project. Leveraging strong relationships with local labor organizations, apprenticeship programs, community stakeholders, and Local Business Enterprises (LBEs), the team helped connect qualified workers and contractors to project opportunities while supporting workforce inclusion goals. JBR also assisted local and minority-owned businesses in meeting City project requirements and accessing contracting opportunities, helping maximize community benefits and advance the project’s commitment to economic inclusion, workforce development, and equitable community investment.
